Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-22 · English is the authoritative version of this policy.

This policy explains how Noroshi Inc. (株式会社狼煙) (“we”) handles data for the GEO Checker service. The short version: the free checker needs no account, sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and collects no personal information.

1. What we do not collect

  • No account, no sign-up. You can use the free check without giving us any personal details.
  • No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on our own pages. Payment is handled on Polar's checkout, which may set cookies strictly necessary to process your payment, under Polar's policy.
  • No advertising trackers.

2. The URL you submit

When you run a check, you send us a public URL. Our server fetches that page’s public HTML to analyze it and returns the result. We do not log in to or store private areas of your site. Scan inputs and results are processed transiently to produce your report and are held only briefly in memory (for example, a whole-site audit job is discarded automatically within about 30 minutes); we do not build a long-term archive of scanned content.

3. Weekly monitoring sign-up (optional)

If you sign up for our optional weekly AI-visibility monitoring, this is different from the free single-page check described in Section 2 above — that free check is processed transiently and is not stored. To run weekly monitoring, we keep a small record of your sign-up so we can re-check your site and reach you if your score drops.

  • What we store: the email address you provide, the site URL you ask us to monitor, the sign-up status (e.g. pending or active), when you signed up, and the language we send notifications in — and once your monitoring is active, the most recent AI-visibility score we recorded for your site and when we last checked it, so we can tell whether it has dropped.
  • Why: solely so we can run your weekly re-check and email you if your AI-visibility score drops. We do not use this data for advertising or any other purpose.
  • How long we keep it: for as long as your monitoring sign-up stays active. After you cancel or ask us to stop, we delete this record within 30 days.
  • How to delete it: email support@aifriendlycheck.com and ask us to cancel your monitoring and delete your record; we aim to do this within 1–2 business days. We do not yet offer a self-service deletion portal — deletion is by email request only.

This is separate from, and does not change, the zero-retention handling of the free single-page check described in Section 2.

4. Aggregate, non-personal usage counts

To understand overall usage, we keep privacy-preserving server-side counters (for example, how many scans were run). These counts contain no cookies and no personal data and are not tied to individuals.

5. Server logs and abuse prevention

Like any web service, our server may briefly process technical information such as IP address to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse. This is used only to keep the Service available and is not used to profile you or sold to anyone. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the Service secure and available, and we retain this technical information only for a short period.

6. Payments

Paid reports are processed by Polar, acting as Merchant of Record. When you purchase, Polar collects the information needed to take payment (such as billing details) under Polar’s own privacy policy. We never see or store your full card number.

7. Google Business checks

If the Google Business scan is enabled, it queries public Google business data (via the Google Places API) for the name or area you enter. That query is sent to Google and is subject to Google’s terms and privacy policy.

8. Third parties

We rely on a small number of providers to run the Service — for example, our hosting provider, Polar for payments, and Resend, which sends the monitoring drop-alert emails described in Section 3. We do not sell your data. We may disclose information if required by law. We operate globally, so information you submit may be processed in countries outside where you live (for example, Japan or the United States), under data-protection laws that may differ from your own.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU GDPR or California's CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, to object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. Because the free checker collects essentially no personal data beyond the transient technical information described above, there is normally nothing personal for us to access or delete.

For any request about data held by our payment provider, contact Polar. For anything else, contact us (below) and we will respond without undue delay and within any period required by law (for example, within one month under the GDPR).

10. Changes

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date above will change accordingly.

GEO Checker — AI-friendliness check (beta)

Site scans read only public HTML. Google Business scans use public Google data (Places API). Scores are a guide and do not guarantee how any AI behaves.
